Cancellation POLICY

To be honest, this is a tough area for us.  On the one hand we understand that life happens: plans change, animals get sick, and sometimes what you thought was a day you needed care, turns out not to be. While one cancellation can seem like no big deal, the problem we face is that we not only lose out on the income from your service, but from all those we have turned down in order to be available for you.

Because of this, our policy is as follows:

DAY CARE -

If cancelled within 5 days, you will be charged the full fee.

BOARDING -

If cancelled within 14 days of start date, you will be charged the half fee.

If canceled within 7 days of start date, you will be charged full fee.

INJURIES AND SCUFFLES

We want to be clear that dog walking, doggy daycare, and pet sitting come with their own inherent risks, especially with the geriatric crowd. (One reason we are FULLY INSURED!) While the benefits of doggy daycare far outweigh the risks, anytime there is more than one dog, tiffs can happen. We do our very best to only put dogs together who are trained to be in the company of other dogs and/or who have an inclination to get along. We spend a lot of time strategizing around this and making sure play groups are put together intentionally. You may even see us turn down certain dogs at certain times if they are not a good fit for a group outing! That said, even the most well-behaved and best of friends can have an off day. While we are constantly tuned in to our clients and great at commanding good behavior, a small scuffle is sometimes outside our realm of control. It's rare... but it happens... and so we are mentioning it here.

ILLNESS

Dogs are like people. They get sick from time to time. We respectfully ask that if your dog is having a particularly unusual reaction or temperament on or leading up to our day of care, you let us know. It allows us to best meet their needs in a tender time and to plan accordingly around their level of energy. Similarly, if a dog is to get sick or seem unwell under our care, we will let you know immediately and make every effort to intervene in the appropriate way. Another rare circumstance, but in our decade of pet care we have seen it enough to make it worth mentioning.
